Privacy Policy

Animastra ("the app", "we") is a hermetic astrology application. This policy describes what data the app handles and why. The short version: your reflections are yours, we collect the minimum needed to run the app, and we never sell your data.
Account data
When you create an account we store your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and avatar those providers share. Accounts and app data are stored with Supabase, our backend provider.
Journal and dream entries
Entries you write in the Theatre of Memory are stored in your account so they sync across your devices. If you use AI classification, the text of an entry is sent to an AI model via OpenRouter to suggest which planetary spheres it belongs to; entries are not used to train models and the suggestion is only saved after you confirm it.
Location
With your permission, the app uses your device location to compute planetary hours, cast horary charts, and align the Caelum sky view with the heavens above you. Location is used for these calculations; we do not build a history of your movements.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by the App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
Advertising
The free tier shows ads served by Google AdMob. On iOS, ad tracking only occurs if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. See Google's privacy policy for how AdMob handles data.
Microphone and speech
If you dictate an entry, audio is transcribed using your device's speech recognition. We store the resulting text, not the audio.
Your rights
- You can delete your account and all associated entries from within the app.
- You can request a copy or deletion of your data by writing to hello@animastra.space.
- You can revoke location, microphone, and tracking permissions at any time in your device settings.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note it in the app and update the date above.
